The Russian Federation launched more than 20 strikes per day on a bridge in the Odessa region, there were hits – Kuleba

“We just saw a drone attack in Mayaki. Fortunately, it didn’t hit, but the attacks have been going on continuously for the last 24 hours,” he said.

According to Kuleba, damaged areas are being repaired, and the military is coordinating the defense of the bridge across the Dniester.

“If the military helps repel UAV attacks, we will be able to restore passage across the bridge,” Kuleba added.

In parallel, it is planned to expand logistics. Within a week, two new routes will be operational – one permanent and one pontoon, and within a few months two more logistics routes will appear, officials plan.

Context

In early December, the illegitimate Russian President Vladimir Putin threatened to “expand the range” of Russian strikes against “port facilities and shipsthat enter Ukrainian ports.” “The most radical way,” he said, is to “cut off Ukraine from the sea.”

One of the most massive attacks on Odessa and the region of the Russian Federation was carried out on the night of December 13. A significant part of the region, including Odessa, was left without light, water and heat for a week. In the region, the city of Artsyz received the greatest destruction.

In just one day on December 19, the Russian occupiers carried out more than 10 attacks on the bridge in the Mayak area. Because of this, traffic on the Odessa-Reni highway has been temporarily stopped, making it impossible to travel to checkpoints and settlements in the western part of the Odessa region. According to military experts, with such attacks the Russian Federation wants to cut off from transport communications the entire western part of the Odessa region, which is “an outlet to logistics on the Danube.” Before this, the Russian Federation attacked the bridge in Zatoka.
