The reason for the case was a situation that occurred last year. The woman found out she was pregnant with twins and told the children's father. The man said that he was not ready to become a father and offered to pay for the abortion procedure in full. The woman refused and then ended the relationship with her partner. In July, her son and daughter were born.
According to the Women for Life charity foundation, during the trial the man initially admitted his guilt, but later in court denied the fact of the offer of an abortion. The magistrate, having considered the case, nevertheless decided on a fine.
