In Krasnoyarsk, thanks to a video from social networks, a Mercedes driver will be punished for driving into oncoming traffic.

Employees of the Krasnoyarsk traffic police regiment brought the 38-year-old Mercedes driver to administrative responsibility for driving into the lane for oncoming traffic.

The man grossly violated traffic rules on December 17 on Vysotnaya Street. The autocrat's act was filmed by eyewitnesses and posted the video on social networks. Traffic police identified the motorist. The Krasnoyarsk resident admitted his guilt, explaining that he simply overtook the GAZelle and immediately returned to his line.

Now according to Part 4 of Art. 12.15 Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation, the driver faces a fine of 7,500 rubles or deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for a period of 4 to 6 months.

“Monitoring of social networks and prompt response to such incidents will continue to ensure safety and order on the city’s roads,” the traffic police warned.
