If you wash your windows before the New Year, and there are stains, streaks and a “cloudy haze” on the glass, then the problem is not the rag or the frost. The thing is that vinegar and products with ammonia dry the glass, leaving microcracks that attract dust. But you can cope with divorces without chemicals and expensive products.
You will need:
- warm water
- 1 tbsp. a spoonful of glycerin or regular unscented baby cream
- clean cotton cloth or an old T-shirt
How to do:
- Stir glycerin in a liter of warm water until dissolved.
- Soak the cloth in the solution and wring it lightly.
- Wipe the glass from top to bottom, leaving no puddles.
- After 1-2 minutes, polish with a dry cotton cloth until shiny.
Glycerin softens the glass surface, prevents electrostatic dust from accumulating, and also creates an invisible film that repels condensation. The windows remain shining even in bitter cold, and the mirrors are free of steam stains.
This method is suitable for windows, mirrors, glass display cases and even screens.
Try it and your windows will reflect Christmas lights instead of streaks.
