A donor event took place in the Legislative Assembly of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, in which deputies and employees of the regional parliament apparatus took part. Representatives of the prosecutor's office also came to donate blood.
The event was attended by deputies Ilya Zaitsev, Pavel Semizorov, Ekaterina Udelko, and speaker of the regional parliament Alexey Dodatko. In total, 38 people replenished the donor blood bank. They all went through the standard donation procedure and also learned how to become a bone marrow donor.
“We work in two modes: stationary and on-site. Our field teams work daily. This is a popular format, and there are always quite a lot of participants. We are ready to cooperate with any organizations; in the summer we work in open areas. The most important requirement for a donor is not to have diseases that are transmitted through blood,” said Alexander Polees, deputy chief physician of Krasnoyarsk Regional Blood Center No. 1.
Chairman of the Legislative Assembly Alexey Dodatko: “Today we held a joint donor event with the regional blood center, which took place in an on-site format. She was supported by her colleagues in the deputy corps, employees of the Legislative Assembly, and the regional prosecutor's office. I would like to emphasize that a significant number of residents of our region regularly participate in blood donation; among the donors there are also representatives of the regional parliament. I want to thank everyone involved in this important cause and helping to save lives.”
