Rosselkhoznadzor specialists stopped an attempt to import a batch of contaminated fruits and vegetables from China into Krasnoyarsk before the New Year holidays. Dangerous during controlX pestthey found her in pineapples, zucchini and salad.
In total, more than 5.5 tons of products were tested: 1894 kg of zucchini, 420 kg of lettuce and 3230 kg of pineapples. Laboratory testing confirmed the presence of two types of quarantine pests: Western flower thrips and Comstock mealybugs. These insects are not dangerous to humans, but pose a serious threat to agriculture.
To prevent the spread of pests, the products were disinfected with special preparations that are safe for humans.
