Key cities of the Krasnoyarsk Territory will be developed within the framework of the national project

The development of support settlements was discussed at the presidium of the government of the Krasnoyarsk Territory under the leadership of Governor Mikhail Kotyukov.
The Presidium of the Government Commission for Regional Development of the Russian Federation included 29 support settlements of the Krasnoyarsk Territory in the outline of the federal project “Infrastructure Development in Settlements” of the national project “Infrastructure for Life”. The selection was made taking into account certain criteria.
Thus, Krasnoyarsk, Lesosibirsk, Norilsk and Boguchany were selected as points of strategic economic importance. Bogotol, Ilansky, Kozulka, Dikson, Dudinka, Uyar were included in the list as implementing new investment projects and serving critical infrastructure. Yeniseisk – ensuring national security; Zelenogorsk and Zheleznogorsk are the largest in terms of population within the ZATO. The list also includes cities that are the main centers for the provision of social services: Achinsk, Kansk, Minusinsk, Sharypovo and others.
“It is very important that our focus is not only on these 29 settlements. We must not forget about the other territories of the region; balance is needed here. The supporting settlement should also help resolve issues in nearby territories, set an example and bring them up to its level,” noted Mikhail Kotyukov.
The goal of the project is to improve the quality of the urban environment in supporting settlements by 30% by 2030 and by 60% by 2036. To achieve this, priority development tasks include: housing renovation, modernization of engineering and utility infrastructure, construction of educational, cultural, healthcare and sports facilities.
The press service of the regional government reported that in order to achieve the goal, an agreement was signed with the Russian Ministry of Construction on the implementation of the corresponding regional project, Mikhail Kotyukov approved a program for the development of infrastructure in support settlements, prepared by the Ministry of Economy and Regional Development of the region.
