Deputies of the Legislative Assembly of the Krasnoyarsk Territory held the final on-site meeting of the Committee on Rural Affairs and Agro-Industrial Policy in 2025 at the Krasnoyarsk State Agrarian University.
The rector and parliament member Natalya Pyzhikova met her colleagues. She said that more than 9 thousand students are currently studying at the university, to whom the knowledge and competencies of about 350 teachers are transferred. The university is currently renovating its academic buildings, dormitories and other infrastructure, and is also planning to build a physical education and health complex. The region allocated 360 million rubles for these purposes.
A large agricultural enterprise helped renovate one of the classrooms. As Natalya Pyzhikova reported, the university has built partnerships with many organizations and enterprises in various sectors of the regional economy. Chairman of the committee Vladislav Zyryanov presented the heads of several agricultural enterprises in the Krasnoyarsk Territory with a Letter of Gratitude from the Chairman of the Legislative Assembly.
At the meeting, regional parliamentarians discussed the importance of the university for the agro-industrial complex as a whole and ensuring food security in the region. Deputy Speaker Andrei Novak, deputies Artur Avetisyan, Yuri Adamenko, Valery Vengo, Andrei Ignatenko, Elena Rodikova took part in the discussion.
“KrasSAU has become a traditional platform for the off-site meeting of our committee at the end of the year. The university is a federal university, but it trains personnel for the entire Krasnoyarsk region. It is strategically important for us to support the development of the university. Already next year, 180 million rubles from the regional budget will be allocated for a new sports and recreation complex. The governor, deputies and the government act as one team for the development of agricultural education and science,” noted Vladislav Zyryanov.
The committee’s legislative work plan for 2026 was also discussed at the meeting.
