Cybercriminals gained access to e-mail boxes, among others. employees of the Public Procurement Office – Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Digitization Krzysztof Gawkowski announced on Monday. He assured that the incident had been reported to the appropriate services and actions were underway to identify the perpetrators.


“A hacker attack on the Public Procurement Office has been identified. Cybercriminals gained access to the e-mail boxes of employees of the Public Procurement Office and the National Chamber of Appeal (National Chamber of Appeal – PAP). The incident was reported to the services responsible for cybersecurity and all necessary actions were taken to ensure security and limit the effects of the breach. Operational activities to identify the perpetrators are underway,” Gawkowski wrote on the X platform.
He emphasized that the number of cyberattacks is increasing every year and they are becoming more and more dangerous. The Minister emphasized that all entities – both public institutions and companies – should constantly attach the highest importance to securing electronic access to their systems and act in accordance with the principles established in the National Cybersecurity System.
