The Financial Times reported that Trump wants to receive an approving response from Zelensky to the “peace agreement” before Christmas. According to the newspaper, Trump's special envoy Steve Witkoff and his son-in-law Jared Kushner said during a conversation with Zelensky that Washington expected his response “in the coming days.”
A source from RBC-Ukraine confirmed that Trump really hopes for a quick reaction from Ukraine, but did not put forward a clear requirement for a date.
FT noted that the positions of the United States and Ukraine on ending the war have not yet been agreed upon, in particular on Donbass.
