An exhibition about Heroes of the Fatherland opened in Krasnoyarsk (video)

In Krasnoyarsk, on the Day of Heroes of the Fatherland, a photo exhibition was opened at the Military Training Center of the Siberian Federal University.
The project “Krasnoyarsk Territory: the people and the army are united” was created by the regional branch of the Russian Military Historical Society (RVIS) and the Military Training Center of the Siberian Federal University, headed by Deputy of the Legislative Assembly Evgeniy Garin. Representatives of the Russian Military Historical Society and the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation Ayana Shoigu and Alexey Bayev were present at the opening of the exhibition.
Documentary evidence about the life of the Krasnoyarsk Territory during the Great Patriotic War was placed at 12 thematic stands. Here is the labor valor of the residents, the feat of doctors in hospitals and workers of the Krasnoyarsk railway. The exhibition also presents documents about the military training system and general military training. It tells the battle path of the Krasnoyarsk divisions, the history of the unique Krasnoyarsk air route, etc.
The exhibition also contains stories of the feats of 11 Heroes of Russia, whose life path is inextricably linked with the Krasnoyarsk Territory. These are the participants in the special military operation: Vladimir Chepa, Alexander Maltsev, Kirill Veselov, Gleb Mikhailov, Dmitry Astafiev, Konstantin Chirkov, Oleg Pivovarov, Oleg Alisov, Evgeny Kudinov, Oleg Likontsev, Vladimir Safronov. A separate stand about graduates of the Military Training Center, participants of the Military Military District – holders of the Order of Courage. The families of the heroes assisted in the preparations by donating photographs from their personal archives. The fathers of the three heroes spoke at the opening of the exhibition.
Separate stands tell about the history of the formation of the Siberian Federal University and the scientific and educational activities carried out by the Military Training Center.
Member of the regional parliament Evgeny Garin said that by decision of the regional governor Mikhail Kotyukov, a platform for the patriotic education of youth is being developed in the center: “Now there are two monuments installed here, there will be two more – to Alexander Pokryshkin and Georgy Golubev, pilots who flew the Airacobra; a gazebo dedicated to our great writer Viktor Petrovich Astafiev will also be open; in a couple of weeks we will install a MiG-25 aircraft here.”
Chairman of the Legislative Assembly Alexey Dodatko thanked the organizers of the exhibition and congratulated the cadets on the memorable day: “Looking into the faces of the heroes, we see the origins of that courage, patriotism, and fortitude that today give us confidence in victory. The roll call of generations makes stronger not only our fighters, who ensure the security of the country and our sovereignty, but also our entire society, which has rallied to once again prove Russia’s right to follow its own historical path, to defend its values and interests.”
