Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni joked on Monday, saying that if he gave up tobacco, he risks killing someone, writes Polito.
In the margin of the Peace Summit held in Egypt, which aimed to conclude the war in the Gaza Strip, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan promised the head of the Government in Rome that he would find a way to convince him to quit smoking.
“You look great. But I have to make you quit smoking,” Erdogan told Meloni, according to the images published by the Italian daily Il Foglio and other publications.
But French President Emmanuel Macron, who was near them, quickly shattered Erdogan's hopes. “It's impossible!”, Said the leader at the Élysée Palace, laughing.
“I know, I know,” Meloni said, then warning that giving up smoking could make it less sociable. “I don't want to kill someone,” she said.
