Krasnoyarsk residents were told how much lard can be eaten without harm to health

December 8 16:48
In honor of Lard Day, Krasnoyarsk Rospotrebnadzor spoke about the beneficial and harmful properties of this product.
First of all, experts noted that lard is a very high-calorie product. 100 grams of lard contain 800 kilocalories, so you should consume it in reasonable quantities – no more than 10 grams per day. Excessive love for the product threatens obesity and heart problems. Lard is not recommended for those who have recently suffered a heart attack or stroke, as well as for people with gastrointestinal diseases.
At the same time, the product has a large number of useful properties:
- lard contains valuable saturated fatty acids that help the human body fight viruses and bacteria, improve the functioning of the brain, heart muscle and kidneys. They also serve as building materials for cells, influence the formation of hormones and participate in cholesterol metabolism;
- is an excellent source of selenium, which has antioxidant properties and helps slow down the aging process in the body;
- rich in vitamins A, E and D.
Buy lard only from authorized retail outlets. When choosing a product, pay attention to its color – the flesh should be white or pink, elastic and fatty, but not sticky. The skin is without bristles, carefully processed. The thinner it is, the more tender the lard.
Store lard correctly: wrap it in parchment or foil and place it in a container or bag, and only then put it in the refrigerator.
Let us remind you that earlier specialists from the Krasnoyarsk Rospotrebnadzor told how shrimp are useful and why they should be included in your diet.
