The Council of the Notarial Chamber in Gdańsk did not find formal deficiencies in notarial files prepared by notaries as part of the acquisition of a studio of Jerzy Ż. Rin spokesman said. On Friday, a meeting of the notary chamber in Gdańsk was held, during which the Gdańsk magistrate's application was held to analyze the takeover of the studio of Jerzy Ż. by Karol Nawrocki in terms of a possible violation of the principles of notary ethics.
A spokesman for the Chamber Sławomir Wroński sent a message of the Council of the Notary Chamber in Gdańsk on Friday evening. The letter reads that Rin on Friday “made a thorough analysis of the content of notarial deeds regarding the acquisition of a dwelling by Mr. Karol Nawrocki. As a result of the verification of documents and a conversation regarding the circumstances of their preparation, RIN in Gdańsk did not find formal deficiencies in notarial files prepared by notaries as part of the transaction” – we read in the document.
At the same time, the Council stated that the notary public is preparing notarial deeds based on the notary's statement submitted by the parties, citing the submitted documents and does not have legal grounds or tools to verify the truthfulness of the statements.
The RIN announcement indicates that making notary activities outside the notary's office is legally permissible. The Council also emphasized that the responsibility for the truth of the statements made by the parties lies with the persons who make them.
