According to the gardener, in May strawberries accumulates nutrients in the leaves, so they need to be transported to the fruits. For this, strawberries are fed with potassium fertilizers. The author of the blog advised the use of non -zest fertilizer for large strawberries – potassium monophosphate.
It includes 52% of phosphorus and 34% potassium.
“Phosphorus is energy for plants, and potassium makes the berries more sweet,” the gardener said.
Preparation of the solution
- 1 tbsp. l. Dissolve the potassium monophosphate in 10 liters of water.
- Pour the cooked strawberries under the root at the rate of one bucket of top dressing for one bush with the cooked solution.
