In Achinsk, the general director of a construction company and his accomplices will go to trial for illegal migration

The Achinsk City Court will consider a criminal case against the general director of a construction company and his accomplices for organizing illegal migration, the press service of the prosecutor's office for the Krasnoyarsk Territory reported.

In the spring of 2024, in Achinsk, the general director of a construction company, due to a shortage of workers, organized with his friends a scheme to illegally recruit migrants to work. Accomplices brought 11 migrants from Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan, provided them with housing, fictitious registration and fake documents for patents.

“WITH April to August the group worked like clockwork. The general director was in charge of everything: he organized a “fake” medical examination in Krasnoyarsk without examinations, paid for cheat sheets for exams in Russian and history, warned about police checks and even took migrants to Kazakhstan to avoid fines. One of the accomplices rented out the house for registration, the rest carried food, took it to work and hid it from migration registration. Foreigners received patents and worked illegally – a net benefit,” the supervisory authority said.

The illegal scheme was stopped by employees of the regional FSB Directorate. The migrants were detained at the facility and subsequently deported.

Based on this fact, a criminal case was opened regarding the organization illegal migration (clause “a”, part 2, article 322.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). The defendants face up to 7 years in prison. Criminal cases against two more defendants were sent to court earlier in connection with the conclusion of a pre-trial cooperation agreement with the prosecutor.
