After working at a desk for a long time or having an awkward sleeping position, the neck and shoulder area often looks tense. The muscles become stiff, a feeling of stiffness appears, and the posture loses its natural line. Conventional warming ointments do not solve the problem because they do not relieve deep muscle spasms. But there are two simple techniques that can help quickly restore mobility to your neck.
Side neck stretch
Relieves tension and restores mobility.
How to do:
- Sit up straight, lower your shoulders and relax your arms along your body.
- Smoothly tilt your head towards one shoulder without lifting it up.
- With your free hand, lightly press the back of your head for a gentle stretch.
- Hold for three seconds and relax.
- Repeat ten times on each side.
Self-massage of the base of the skull
Accelerates the blood and removes morning headaches.
How to do:
- Bend your thumbs and place them under the occipital bone.
- Using light circular movements, move from the center to the ears.
- Apply three gentle pressures to points just below your hairline.
- Repeat the movements four times.
- Complete the procedure with smooth stroking downwards along the neck.
These simple steps will only take five minutes, but the effect will be noticeable after the first use.
