In Krasnoyarsk, a married couple was prosecuted for failure to pay alimony for the maintenance of their 14-year-old daughter. Over ten years, the spouses have accumulated a debt to their child of more than 2 million rubles.

As reported by the bailiff service, the parents were deprived of parental rights ten years ago. Their minor daughter, like their two older children, was placed under the guardianship of relatives.
The court ordered the spouses to pay alimony in the amount of a quarter of all types of income, but they systematically avoided fulfilling their obligations. Debtors almost never worked officially and hid their income. The couple did not have any property with which to pay alimony.
First, the bailiffs brought the man to administrative responsibility – he received 10 days of arrest. When this measure had no effect, a criminal case was opened. The wife was also brought to justice.
The court sentenced both spouses to correctional labor for a period of one year. This measure will partially repay the multi-million dollar debt to the child.
