The former presidential candidate Călin Georgescu was received on Monday, in Alba Iulia, by hundreds of supporters with flags and tricolor banners. His assembly was marked by incidents, when some of the supporters forced their way into the Coronation Cathedral and chanted against President Nicușor Dan, reports Agerpres.
After giving his speech on the stage located in front of the Union Monument, Georgescu started between the Cathedral of Alba Iulia. Hundreds of people were following him behind him shouting “Georgescu is president”. According to Alba 24, the crowd supporting Călin Georgescu got out of control when he entered the Cathedral in Alba Iulia.

When he entered the Cathedral, the crowd was blocked by gendarmes from entering the place of worship.
Then, some of Călin Georgescu's supporters joined forces with the gendarmes and broke the security cordon, forcing their way into the Cathedral, according to Agerpres.
Then, in the churchyard, they started shouting “Nicușor, resignation” and “Bolojan resignation”.
Initially, according to what was discussed by the organizers of the assembly in Alba Iulia for Călin Georgescu, only the former candidate, accompanied by a few people, would have entered the Reunification Cathedral.
However, at the entrance to the courtyard of the Reintegirii Cathedral Ensemble, Georgescu's supporters forced the cordon of gendarmes, entering the place of worship in large numbers, notes Agerpres.
Previously, there was another incident, right after Georgesscu got out of the car, when a man shouted to him “March to Moscow!”. He was quickly surrounded by several supporters of Georgescu, who accused him of being an instigator.
