MTS has covered railway stations on the way to Abakan and Lesosibirsk with an LTE network

November 27 11:24

MTS has expanded its LTE network coverage in the Kuraginsky and Achinsky districts of the Krasnoyarsk Territory. High Internet speeds have become available at the Maltsevo and Lapshikha railway stations.

The MTS network will be able to be used not only by passengers of electric trains traveling on the routes Achinsk – Lesosibirsk and Koshurnikovo – Abakan, but also by residents of the villages of Murino and Lapshikha. Travelers will be able to make video calls, download streaming video and music, or transfer their geolocation, and villagers will be able to use government and financial portals, online stores and marketplaces.

“We continue to implement a large project to create a seamless digital environment in the Krasnoyarsk Territory. New communication facilities perform several tasks at once: targeted elimination of blind spots in the coverage of new generation networks and improvement of Internet accessibility. This year, MTS communications came to more than 120 settlements in the region, including small towns and settlements in the region, tourist locations and popular road arteries,” noted MTS Director in the Krasnoyarsk Territory Sergei Yegoshin.
