

Korogodsky was born in 1960 in Kyiv. Graduated from the Kiev Electromechanical College of Railway Transport named after Nikolai Ostrovsky (specialty – “electrical technician”) and the Moscow Institute of Railway Transport Engineers (specialty – “electrician”electrification of railway transport”). After graduating from the institute, he remained to live in Moscow; after the collapse of the USSR, he received Russian citizenship, which he renounced in 2015. In 2019, he became a citizen of Ukraine. Korogodsky also has an Israeli passport.
Since the 1980s, Korogodsky has been involved in business. He is a co-owner of the Dream Town shopping center in Kyiv (after rebranding – Dream). The businessman ranks eighth in the Forbes magazine’s “25 Largest Rentiers” ranking; the publication estimates his rental income at $32 million.
In 2013, the entrepreneur founded the Lifelover Foundation, which helps pensioners.
Korogodsky is the author of several books, including “How to spend a million that doesn’t exist, and other stories of a Jewish boy”, “We had sex” (co-authored with Ukrainian journalist Natasha Vlashchenko), “Garik’s Red Book”.
