Rostelecom launched Russian-made Bulat base stations in four settlements in Khakassia and Tuva

November 26 10:43
Since the beginning of the year, Rostelecom has built four base stations from the domestic company Bulat in small remote settlements in the republics of Khakassia and Tyva.
The activities were carried out within the framework of the second stage of the federal project for eliminating the digital divide (UCN 2.0).
For the first time, high-quality voice communications of the 2G (GSM) standard and 4G mobile Internet (LTE) became available to residents of the settlements of Yugachi, Imeni Ilyich and Kurgannaya in Khakassia, as well as the Shivilig arban in Tuva.
The new base stations meet international standards and provide communications to an area with a radius of about 20 km, with data transfer speeds reaching 450 Mbit/s. The development of software and control systems for these communication facilities was carried out in Russia, which ensures control over key technological processes and increases the level of information security.

“Rostelecom is actively developing telecommunications infrastructure throughout the country. Recently, the 1,000th Bulat base station was put into operation in the neighboring Irkutsk region. These facilities provide a stable and high-quality connection, which contributes to the development of the UCN 2.0 project and the expansion of the digital network in the regions,” said Evgeny Sintishevsky, Deputy Technical Director of the Krasnoyarsk branch of Rostelecom.
By the end of 2025, Rostelecom will launch Bulat base stations in four more settlements in Khakassia – Beyka, Tyurt-Tas, Uty and Krasny Katamor.
The list of settlements where base stations according to UCN 2.0 are installed is determined by the Ministry of Digital Development of Russia on the basis of an open vote, which is also held on the State Services portal. You can view the full list of settlements connected under the project on the Rostelecom website.
