Feet no longer tingle: one movement on a chair – and the swelling goes away in the evening

After a long day at work, many people notice that their feet feel heavy, their shoes feel tight, and their usual gait becomes unsteady. Not everyone has time for long exercises or visits to a specialist. One simple technique that can be performed right at your workplace is enough. It triggers lymphatic drainage, returns lightness to your step and helps relax tight muscles.

During movement, you do not just move your feet, but create a muscle pump that pumps fluid from the lower leg upward. This engages the calf muscles, stimulates venous drainage and relieves stress on the joints. Regular practice helps remove congestion, improve blood circulation in the lower extremities and prevent discomfort at the end of the day.

Technique:

  • Sit on the edge of a chair, keep your back straight, feet firmly on the floor.
  • Lift your right foot, lifting your heel off the floor, and focus on your toes.
  • As you exhale, gently lift your toes up, stretching your shin as much as possible, and then lower your heel, pressing your toes to the floor.
  • Return to the starting position and repeat the movement with your left leg.
  • Alternate sides for two to three minutes, keeping a steady pace.

During the exercise, you must ensure that your knees are still and your breathing is calm. If you have diagnosed vascular problems or severe joint pain, be sure to consult with a specialist before adding the practice to your routine.
