Poland and NATO scrambled fighter jets and activated air defenses due to attack on western Ukraine

The occupiers launched drones all night, and cruise missiles were added to them in the morning. Explosions, in particular, were heard in Rivne and Burshtyn, Ivano-Frankivsk region.

Allied air forces are also participating in the operation in Polish airspace. Fighter aircraft were scrambled and ground-based air defense and radar reconnaissance systems were put on alert, the report said.

“These actions are preventive in nature and aimed at ensuring the safety and protection of airspace, especially in areas adjacent to territories that are under threat. The operational command of the Polish Armed Forces is monitoring the current situation, and subordinate forces and assets are in a state of readiness for immediate response,” the post said.
