A rabbi was tied up with two packs of Xanax at Moscow's Domodedovo airport.
The incident occurred on July 25. The 47-year-old rabbi of the Mountain Jewish community, Aharon Tzadikov, was planning to return to Israel, but he was stopped by customs officers in the green corridor.
The rabbi was found to have two packages of Xanax with 6 blisters and 60 tablets. The examination showed that the tablets contained 0.0588 grams of alprazolam, a substance included in the Russian list of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances and their precursors.
Rabi faces a criminal case for smuggling psychotropic substances, an investigation is underway.
