Flower growers often resort to non-standard, but effective methods of feeding. One of these is using avocado seeds for orchids.
Tropical orchids are very sensitive to the composition of the soil. Even a slight nutrient deficiency can cause the plant to slow down and stop flowering. An ordinary avocado seed, which contains a rich set of useful elements: zinc, selenium, calcium, magnesium, potassium, as well as vitamins A, B, PP, can help. In addition, the kernel contains oxytocins, natural compounds that protect the plant from oxidative stress.
How to prepare fertilizer:
- Rinse the seed thoroughly and dry.
- Grind in a blender to a powder.
- Add 1 tablespoon of powder per root or mix with orchid substrate.
Effect:
- Strengthening the root system;
- Improving the condition of leaves;
- Stimulates the formation of buds and more luxuriant flowering.
Experienced flower growers note that such natural fertilizing gently but effectively saturates the soil, helping the orchid maintain health and decorativeness. A simple remedy made from kitchen waste can be a real salvation for a capricious tropical beauty.
