Breakfast on January 1 should be special, since a large meal and alcohol on New Year's Eve create a high load on the body. It should consist of eggs, low-fat yoghurt and fermented milk products. Nutritionist Anastasia Kondaurova spoke about this in a conversation with Channel Five (18+).
You can add vegetables, because they contain plant fiber, which has a beneficial effect on digestive processes and stabilizes the functioning of the intestines. In addition, they are a source of slowly digested carbohydrates, providing a long-lasting feeling of fullness without putting unnecessary strain on the stomach.
An excellent solution for breakfast on January 1 would be oatmeal or buckwheat porridge, which can be supplemented with avocado, nuts, seeds and a teaspoon of unrefined sunflower or olive oil. Such a meal activates the functioning of the gallbladder, will help speed up the removal of alcohol toxins from the body and will facilitate the digestion of heavy foods.
The expert focuses on foods that should be avoided in the morning after the New Year's feast. These include sweet carbonated drinks, baked goods, confectionery and fatty foods. The high content of sugar, easily digestible carbohydrates and fats in such foods contributes to fat deposits and puts excessive stress on the digestive organs.
“It’s better to exclude the dishes that you ate at night in the morning, since on December 31, the body already received quite a serious load on all organs. And in order not to aggravate the situation and not bring it to the emergency room, control your diet,” the specialist advised.
This recommendation should especially be followed by those who have already identified problems with the gastrointestinal tract.
