Krasnoyarsk municipal services told and showed how they are clearing the city of snow, which has been falling almost continuously since Sunday.

Road workers note that roads and sidewalks are constantly cleaned, despite what pRecommendations and standards provide for street cleaning after the snowfall ends.

The average daily output of special equipment was 84 units. They started sweeping the roads on Sunday afternoon, but the peak of work occurred last night – 50 cars were brought out in conditions of snowfall and temperatures of −1 °C. The main emphasis was on sweeping and shoveling snow from roads and sidewalks.

“The combined road vehicles traveled as a unit along all the main highways. Sidewalk equipment cleared pedestrian areas on the streets: Sverdlovskaya, Matrosova, Vavilov, Paris Commune, Molokov, 78 Volunteer Brigade, Baturin, Avenue named after newspaper “Krasnoyarsky Rabochiy”, in the Tikhie Zori microdistrict, etc.,” said the SATP.

Today, during the day shift, they promise to increase the number of snow removal equipment.

Our work does not end with the initial cleaning – we continue to monitor the condition of the roads and, if necessary, repeat cleaning and sprinkling. We understand that winter conditions can be inconvenient and we are doing everything we can to minimize the impact of snowfall.”
