The ranking also includes other cities famous for pedestrian walks, such as Athens, Istanbul, Krakow, Amsterdam and even Bucharest, which occupies the 14th position in the top.

According to the report, the main tourist attractions in the city of Seville can be explored in just 30 minutes, on an almost completely flat 2 km route.

The route passes through the historic center, parks and pedestrian areas, offering tourists a relaxing experience without much effort. Among the unmissable attractions are the Cathedral of Saint Mary of the See, the Alcázar Royal Palace and the Golden Tower (Torre del Oro), many of which are included in the UNESCO world heritage, writes express.

Also nearby is the General Archives of the Indies, dating from the 16th century, which completes the cultural offer of the city.

Matthew Hall, director of Hoppa, pointed out that the city of Seville represents an attractive alternative to major tourist centers such as Barcelona or Madrid, especially for visitors who prefer to explore the area on foot.

“Even if you'll be covering most of the attractions on foot, don't forget about transportation from the airport to the city. Booking a transfer in advance ensures peace of mind and a more enjoyable experience.” Hall explained.

The city also enjoys a pleasant winter climate, with average temperatures of 16-18°C in December, making it an ideal destination for tourists who want to combine walking with cultural sightseeing.

The top 20 pedestrian-friendly European cities include: Seville, Athens, Istanbul, Krakow, Amsterdam, Milan, Berlin, Copenhagen, Tallinn, Cologne, Stockholm, Prague, Vienna, Bucharest, Hamburg, Valencia, Florence, Nice, Dublin and Paris.
