The dentist told me what habits should be changed to make your teeth clean and shiny without any expensive procedures. Useful tips appeared in the Zen blog “Beauty and Health” (18+).
The first thing you should pay attention to is food and drinks. Favorite foods, first of all, affect not only your figure, skin and hair, but also the color of your teeth.
What to cut:
Most often, tea, coffee, and cocoa leave behind a yellow coating. Sugary drinks such as soda also add to enamel color problems. Beets, cherries, and blueberries, although healthy, will affect the color of your teeth if consumed frequently. And even spices, such as saffron and curry, will not add shine to your smile either.
Things to add:
But fresh apples, pears, carrots and nuts perfectly clean the enamel – they work like a soft brush. It is better to eat these foods in their natural form and save juices for rare occasions.
Useful substitutions:
Use lemon juice or grape vinegar instead of dark sauces. Soy sauce and balsamic can give an undesirable tint to the enamel, so it is best to use them sparingly.
So if you dream of a radiant smile, start by reviewing your menu. But remember that professional inspections are also important. This is the only way you can be sure that your teeth will not only be white, but also healthy.
