A drunk Krasnoyarsk resident got into an accident on a service dump truck and went to the colony (video)

A 42-year-old Krasnoyarsk resident was sentenced for drunk driving in a service dump truck. The regional prosecutor's office spoke about this.

It all happened in September 2025 in the city of Ilansky. According to the supervisory authority, the driver of a 19-ton Shacman dump truck, previously convicted of murder and fined for drunk driving, decided to celebrate the end of his shift by drinking alcohol in his company car.

In a drunken state, the man decided to take another ride in the truck and drove into the city. There he damaged power line wires and drove into oncoming traffic, where he collided head-on with a car. After the impact, the driver of the dump truck continued driving, dragging the damaged passenger car for a distance of about 200 meters.

“Both vehicles slid into a ditch. The driver of the injured car managed to leave the cabin in the first seconds after the impact, which allowed him to avoid serious consequences,” the prosecutor’s office said.

The court found the drunk driver guilty of violating traffic rules by a person subject to administrative punishment (Part 1 of Article 264.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation) and sentenced him to 1 year of imprisonment to be served in a maximum security correctional colony and with deprivation of the right to drive for 2.5 years. The man was taken into custody in the courtroom.

Material damage from the convicted person will be recovered additionally.
