A group of 145 MEPs want to delay the entry into force of the EU agreement with Mercosur. They decided to challenge the agreement and refer it to the Court of Justice of the EU. They prepared an application. The one-sentence reply came from an anonymous e-mail, with no one signing on to the message that the request was “inadmissible.”

According to RMF FM, the editorial office received similar information, indicating that unagreed contracts cannot be challenged. The case sparked outrage among MEPs. – In this way, all standards on which work in the European Parliament is based are violated – Krzysztof Hetman told the station. He argues that this may be a way to stifle an initiative that could gain a majority during the vote. This will also eliminate the chances of delaying the entry into force of the agreement.
