In Khakassia, a domestic dog bit a 7-year-old child

In Khakassia, a criminal case has been opened regarding the injury of a child as a result of an attack by a domestic dog, the regional investigative department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation reported.

According to the investigation, on November 15, the girl was walking on the street near her house on 2-I line of the Shakhty village of Chernogorsk. At some point, she was attacked by a domestic dog and inflicted multiple bites on her head and various parts of her body. A teenager passing by, hearing the scream, drove the dog away from the girl and called an ambulance.

“The victim was taken to the hospital and received the necessary medical care. At the moment, the child's condition is assessed as moderate. As a result of investigative actions, the owner of the dog has been identified, and the necessary investigative actions are being carried out with her,” the press service said.

Based on this fact, a criminal case was opened under Part 1 of Art. 118 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (causing grievous bodily harm through negligence). The necessary investigative actions are now being carried out to establish all the circumstances of the incident.
