Scandal at IPJ Constanța. Quaestor Cornel Mototolea, accused by Europol of sealing the offices of the Medgidia Traffic Police

The Europol union accuses the quaestor Cornel Mototolea, the authorized chief inspector of IPJ Constanța, of having sealed the offices of the Medgidia Traffic Police, blocking the policemen's access to files and computers and creating a tense work environment.

“Quaestor Cornel Mototoleaauthorized chief inspector of IPJ Constanța, blocked the activity of the traffic policemen in Medgidia after ordering the sealing of the two rooms where the agents had the files and computers”, the Europol Union sent.

According to the quoted source, beginning on 12.11.2025, the Mototolea quaestor, without any legal basis, “ordered the sealing of the two offices, probably wanting to check if there are microphones, in the context of the appearance in the public space of some recordings that demonstrate the hostile conduct of the boss”.

Europol claims that these practices create a tense working environment and can jeopardize the efficiency of the road service.

“The problem is, after he finished the movie he was watching on Netflix—«How to cover up a case of workplace harassment» –, lost himself in thoughts and forgot that he himself had ordered, for two days, the completely absurd sealing of the doors of the two offices. Thus, Mototolea obstructed the activity of the entire team of the Medgidia Road Safety Bureau, and the colleagues who have the equipment and working documents in the files in the sealed offices showed up to work praying that they would not have to intervene in a more serious case”. “Europol” stated.

The Europol union asked the management of IPJ Constanța for clarifications and concrete measures to ensure the smooth running of the activity of the traffic police in Medgidia.
