Florin Prunea (57 years old), the former great goalkeeper of Romania, said who, in his opinion, is the best Romanian player from the year 2025.
In Gazetai Sporturilor's investigation, Andrei Rațiu was chosen Romanian footballer of the year. Florin Prunea has a different opinion and awarded the distinction to Ionuț Radu, the Spanish goalkeeper from Celta Vigo.

“Player of the year? Look, I'm taking Ionuț Radu, a goalkeeper. And because he is a goalkeeper, but also because he has extraordinary developments in an extraordinary championship.
He does a very good job and we are proud of him”, said Florin Prunea, according to sport.ro.
Ionuț Radu is having a very good season at Celta Vigo, for whom he has appeared in 25 games this season. In 4 of them he did not score.
With the Romanian goalkeeper, Celta Vigo ranks 7th in La Liga, with 23 points accumulated in 17 stages. Ionuț Radu has so far collected 7 matches for the Romanian national team.

In life nothing is certain, you have to work for what you want. I came with a lot of humility, knowing that it is a top club and that you have to work to earn your place. We have three good goalkeepers, the competition is healthy and the final decision belongs to the coach.
