“Yesterday, the Russian occupiers used flagpole tactics and hung their three-color rag on the territory of the Mirnogradvugilla mine on the southeastern outskirts of Mirnograd. Thus, the Russians tried to exert information and psychological pressure on the defenders of the Pokrovskaya agglomeration and create the illusion of a full stay in the city. Despite the lack of opportunity to gain a foothold there,” the message said.
As Ukrainian paratroopers noted, “the Russian rag hung there for no more than a day.”
“Soldiers of the 38th separate marine brigade named after Hetman Petro Sagaidachny destroyed the enemy flag with an FPV drone. Two enemy infantrymen who were hanging out the tricolor were discovered and eliminated,” the message says.
According to the Ukrainian military, the situation in Mirnograd is complex.
“The Russians manage to periodically penetrate the city in small groups of 1-2 people. But our military, as a result of coordinated search and strike actions, destroy the invaders. The defense of Mirnograd continues,” indicated the 7th Corps of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
