Kislitsa answered the words of Russians that in the war some “lose more of their loved ones”

On May 16, The Economist Journalist Oliver Carroll said with reference to an informed interlocutor that Medinsky allegedly said: “Perhaps some of those sitting here, at this table, will lose more of their loved ones. Russia is ready to fight forever.”

The diplomat actually agreed that Medinsky said this.

“Whoever this delegation was aimed at from our delegation – at me, or possibly at others, or all of us – it did not work. It only strengthened our determination to stop evil, which is boasting that it kills, and is determined to continue to kill our defenseless citizens,” Kislitsa wrote, reposting Karrol's tweet.

The diplomat also mentioned his nephew, who died, protecting Ukraine from Russians.

“Max was 23 years old, and he will forever remain young in our memory,” said Kislitsa.

In November 2024, in an interview with TSN, then a constant representative of Ukraine at the UN Kislitsa said that his nephew died in 2022, and that day, Kislitsa was forced to listen to the nonsense of the Russian Permanent Representative to the UN of Vasily Neveenzi.

Context

On May 16, negotiations of delegations of the Russian Federation and Ukraine were held. The Foreign Ministry of Ukraine said according to the results of negotiations that the Russians demanded a number of things unacceptable to Ukraine.

The interlocutor in Ukrainian diplomacy told Sky News that in the negotiations in Istanbul The Russian Federation demanded the withdrawal of Ukrainian troops from the “its territories” for the ceasefire (which exactly was mentioned, the channel did not specify). There were other requirements that cannot be fulfilled.
