Huge 'bill' for Lionel Messi. The children put him at an expense of 600,000 euros

The Messi family has been established since 2009 in Castelldefels, a quiet town near Barcelona, located close to the sea and known for its exclusive residential areas.
Recently, the Argentine made an important decision related to his family, wanting to give his children a stable future in the very place he considers “home” in Europe. Thus, he initiated a project through which three homes will be built for his three sons, in the same area where he currently lives.
Homes for Thiago, Mateo and Ciro. 600,000 euro project
The plan comes in continuation of his intention to remain established in the Barcelona area even after the end of his football career.
According to local media, the Castelldefels authorities have recently approved the development of a residential area in the hilly part of the town, where the land will be converted for construction.
The project directly targets his children, Thiago, Mateo and Ciro, and involves a total investment estimated at around 600,000 euros. In addition to erecting the three houses, the plan also includes upgrading the infrastructure in the area, with utilities such as water, electricity, sewage and telecommunications, but also improving road access to the new properties.
Messi will give away part of the pitch for free to the community
The Argentinian wants to lay the foundations of an area with Mediterranean vegetation for the community in the area, where olives, carob and almonds will be planted. The installation of an irrigation system is also planned.
Messi owns no less than 10,000 square meters in the area, a domain he has expanded steadily throughout his career as a professional footballer. In addition to the family home itself, it also has a private soccer field, its own swimming pool, gym, tennis court and recreational areas.
Lionel Messi will not return to Barcelona anytime soon. The Argentine has extended his contract with Inter Miami until 2028. However, there are clauses in the deal that allow for a possible earlier conclusion: Messi could propose termination of the deal in 2026, and the club in 2027.
