As reported by “Le Figaro”, the French automotive tycoon Renault wants to build a factory in Ukraine that will produce drones. Talks in this matter between Paris and Kiev are still going on, there are no decisions so far. The manufactured equipment would be available to the army of both countries.
– The talks took place. At this stage, no decision was made because we are waiting for explanations about this project on the part of the Ministry of National Defense – said representatives of Renault cited by “Le Figaro”. The French government has 15 percent participation in the group.

The Russian wants to outlaw the Renault logo
The actions of the French government did not like the Russian deputy from Crimea Michail Szeremiet, who demands the delegation of the logo of the concern.
“I suggest that in the event of the start of drones in Ukraine, the Renault logo be considered a forbidden fascist symbolism, which will become a kind of blockade for the activities of the concern in Russia,” he noted, the politician cited by Gazeta.ru, quoted by the portal.
Earlier deputy pride from the Crimean region, General Leonid Iwlew, said that the French Renault plant in Ukraine may become in the future a goal for Russian forces if the installation of drones begins there.
In 2022, Renault withdrew from Russia in response to the invasion of Ukraine, selling its shares at Awtowaz (producer of Łada) to the Russian research institute to us.
