Investigators are verifying an allegation of corruption targeting two doctors from the Bucharest Clinical Emergency Hospital (Floreasca Hospital), an anesthetist and an orthopedist. According to judicial sources quoted by Antena 3 CNN, the case started from a complaint submitted to the prosecutor's office by a relative of a recently operated patient. He would have complained that, in exchange for the operation, he would have been asked for money.
Following the complaint, several police officers went to the hospital, and the doctors were stopped in traffic and taken for questioning.

To clarify the situation, the prosecutors requested the images captured by the surveillance cameras in the area of the operating room, where the discussions related to the alleged bribe took place.
Sources in the investigation said that up until this point, the two doctors had been interviewed, denied the allegations and were subsequently allowed to continue their work at the hospital.
The investigation is ongoing, and prosecutors are yet to determine whether there is evidence to support the bribery allegations.
