In the Ermakovsky district of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, a drunk man attacked a policeman in a public catering establishment. This was reported to the regional prosecutor's office.

According to the supervisory agency, in April 2025, the local police commissioner of the village of Tanzybey arrived at the local cafe “Ayak Shay” following a report from a resident about a violation of public order. At the scene, the law enforcement officer found a drunk man who behaved aggressively and disturbed visitors to the establishment.

The citizen responded to the police officer’s demands to stop illegal actions with an outburst of aggression and hit the police officer in the chest with his hands. After this, the attacker began to insult the law enforcement officer and use obscene language, demonstrating a clear disrespect for the law.

“In court, the defendant did not admit his guilt. The man explained that the policeman was slandering him. However, the case materials examined in court refuted the accused’s version,” the prosecutor’s office said.

The court agreed with the position of the state prosecutor and found the man guilty of using violence against a representative of the authorities (Part 1 of Article 318 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation) and insulting a representative of the authorities (Article 319 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). He was sentenced to 2 years of forced labor with the withholding of 10% of his wages to the state.

The issue of appealing the verdict will be decided after it is received in final form.
