In the Krasnoyarsk Territory, the transport tax will be raised. This issue was discussed at a meeting of the committee on economics and tax policy in the Legislative Assembly of the region.
Transport tax rates were revised in the region already for a long time: for some items in 2007, and for passenger cars — in 2013. During this period, there were 14% more cars in the Krasnoyarsk Territory. In terms of the number of cars, the region ranks 11th among the constituent entities of the Russian Federation, but in terms of the amount of transport tax it ranks 61st.
Deputies propose to establish new tax rates for each category of transport and maintain the current tax benefits. For example, for the most popular foreign cars up to 100 horsepower, the fee will increase from 500 to 700 rubles per year.
This will replenish the region’s Road Fund by approximately 335 million rubles. They will be used to repair and maintain regional, intermunicipal and local roads.
