In the Krasnoyarsk Territory, more than 5 thousand people were examined in a new endoscopy center

More than 5.5 thousand residents of the Krasnoyarsk Territory were examined at the regional endoscopy center, which began work seven months ago, the regional Ministry of Health reported.

The center opened in April this year. 317.6 million rubles were allocated from the regional budget for its creation. These funds were used to purchase equipment, furniture and modern computer equipment, and renovate the premises. The endoscopic center offers free examination of the stomach, esophagus and colon, including in a state of medicated sleep. They also perform minimally invasive, low-traumatic procedures to remove tumors and complex endoscopic examinations.

Patients can be referred for examination by doctors from local clinics or a regional hospital.

“Early diagnosis significantly increases the effectiveness of treatment. Detection of cancer at an early stage greatly increases the chances of a favorable outcome, which is one of the priorities of the national project “Long and Active Life,” said Pavel Zhegalov, head of the endoscopy center.

In addition, we would like to remind you that in September, a hematology department was also opened at the regional hospital, and a hematology day hospital began operating.
