The Leninsky District Court of Krasnoyarsk sentenced a man who tried to kill his friend in a drunken stupor.
Everything happened in the summer of 2025. From the court materials it follows that on one June evening, a Krasnoyarsk resident came to visit his girlfriend to drink alcohol with her and two other acquaintances. Suddenly, an impromptu feast in the dorm room turned into a conflict. The attacker grabbed a kitchen knife and in one fell swoop cut his assailant's throat, causing him to fall to the floor.
Believing his opponent to be dead, the man packed his belongings and left the scene. Eyewitnesses called a medical team, and the victim was urgently hospitalized. He survived, but was temporarily unable to work. He had a scar as a reminder of the ill-fated evening.
The attacker admitted his guilt only partially. He explained that he did not intend to kill the man, but simply wanted to scare the enemy with a knife so that he would leave the room. The court sentenced him to 7 years and 6 months of imprisonment, to be served in a maximum security penal colony.
The civil claim of the Territorial Compulsory Medical Insurance Fund of the Krasnoyarsk Territory for compensation for damages from the crime was left without consideration. The verdict did not enter into legal force.
