The XXI City Forum will take place in Krasnoyarsk

On December 5, the XXI City Forum will be held in Krasnoyarsk at the SFU congress hall. This was reported to the mayor's office.

Every year, the organizers try to gather enterprising Krasnoyarsk residents and city communities at the forum site. The result of discussions is usually ideas for the development of city spaces and its eventful life, which are subsequently implemented. Well-known examples of recent years include the creation of a resource center to support public initiatives, the “BRIGHT SHORE” project, which has been taking place on the embankments for several years now and has become an event attraction in Krasnoyarsk, as well as the “Factory of People’s Initiatives”.

According to the organizers, the upcoming XXI Krasnoyarsk City Forum will once again bring together representatives of about ten large communities and federal experts. The central event will take place on December 5 in the SFU congress hall. One of the participants’ tasks will be to search for ideas for the formation of new heroism and patriotic education, so it is no coincidence that the forum’s slogan is “We honor history, create the future.” Soldiers and veterans of the Northern Military District will be at the forefront of discussions.

“Only federal speakers will be experts at the plenary session. They will explore the theme of patriotism through communities. Krasnoyarsk has a large number of projects here: the Victory Memorial, the “Chronicle of Victory” schoolchildren festival, Post No. 1 and others. Another theme will be human-centricity. The third topic of the plenary session was the 400th anniversary of the city. We will also reveal it through work with residents using the examples of Kazan, Nizhny Novgorod, and Moscow. Thus, at the plenary meeting we will receive the main messages for working with communities in 2026-2027,” said Zhanna Khodos-Shikileva, deputy head of the city mayor’s department.

In the year of the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War and the Year of Defender of the Fatherland, the cultural program of the forum will be special. Public organizations are preparing a patriotic concert “The Living Word of History.” For the first time, the forum will bring together volunteers who are searching for missing people. These are four detachments operating in the Krasnoyarsk Territory.

Traditionally, the event will feature awards for the winners of city competitions such as “Krasnoyarsk is man-made”, “Family is the soul and strength of Krasnoyarsk”, “Educational Championship”, “Best socially-oriented non-profit organization in the city”..

Let us add that the events preceding the forum will start this week. Thus, at the site of the Business Development and Social Initiatives Fund, a regional stage will be held dedicated to involving the public in preparation for the 400th anniversary of Krasnoyarsk. ​
