Exciting scenes surprised by GSP reporters

Andrei Borza, 19, was among the most affected “tricolors” at the end the match with Spain, lost to the U21 national, score 1-2. The footballer of the Rapid hardly mastered his tears on the lawn, and was then comforted by the family, who followed at every step in the match played in Bratislava.

With Romania Mathematics eliminated from the European Championship, the match in the last stage of the groups, against the host country, Slovakia, becomes a consolation. Beyond the two defeats suffered so far, the Rapid band defender is satisfied with the level displayed by “tricolors” in matches with Italy and Spain.

Andrei Borza feels that the “tricolors” did not laugh at the euro: “I demonstrated why we are here”

I really demonstrated that we are a team, we demonstrated why we are here. It's frustrating that I took two goals in the last five minutes … I gave everything I had, I am proud of my colleagues, the technical staff, the supporters.

Spain had more possession, we tried to be a very good defensive block. Certainly I ran more than them, 100%. We could beat them!

Our defense was very good, we were overloaded in the defensive, but I think we did very well until the 85th minute.

I think the referee disadvantaged us, it was a penalty in Perianu, but what can we do? (…) We all made a considerable effort, we met opponents from Sevilla, Valladolid Villarreal, Valencia“, Concluded Borza, who jumped in the defense of Blănuță to eliminate that” broke “, practically, the match:

“It was a mistake (No. At the elimination of Blănuță), But we can't put it in the head, because he is our colleague. When you have bad luck … He wanted very much!”.

Borza's mother and younger sister offered exciting scenes

The GSP photojournalist Ionuț Iordache surprised several emotional staff at the end of the match on Saturday night. Exhausted because of the effort, Borza found support in the stands, where he was consoled by his parents, but also by the younger sister. “I thank my parents for being next to me whatever!”

Asked about the scenes at the end, when the family members raised his morale in the stands, Borza sent special thanks to his parents, his sister, but also to the Romanians present in Bratislava:

My parents and my sister have been with me since the beginning of the European, thank you very much for being next to me whatever.

We thank the supporters that they came to Bratislava, they were with us and Trnava, but today they were in a much larger number here. For our morale, it would be very good to win the last match, with Slovakia ”, commented the defender of Rapid.

Ajax, Genoa? It sounds good, but I know nothing. I will see after this match, when I go back to Rapid.
