Rospotrebnadzor specialists have developed a unique rapid test for diagnosing hepatitis C, which has no analogues in the world. As reported by Yamal 1, the new device allows you to identify a dangerous disease in just 25-30 minutes instead of the traditional 1.5-2 hours.

The method is based on loop isothermal amplification technology – a molecular diagnostic method for rapid and specific amplification of DNA or RNA at a constant temperature, an alternative to PCR that does not require complex equipment. The development will speed up the process of mass screening of the population and prescribe treatment in a timely manner.
The rapid test was created as part of the federal project “Sanitary Shield of the Country,” aimed at strengthening the biological safety of Russia.
