In Krasnoyarsk, the selection of children for a charity event for surgical treatment of congenital cleft lip and palate has started.
Free operations will be performed by a team of reputable specialists in the field of maxillofacial surgery from different regions of Russia. The event was organized by the Operation Smile foundation with the assistance of the regional Ministry of Health and the Department of Maxillofacial Surgery of Krasnoyarsk State Medical University.
Children from 0 to 17 years old are accepted for consultation. At the same time, doctors remind: it is possible to operate on a child with such a pathology no earlier than he is six months old. A list is now being compiled for a preliminary examination of children with clefts and other pathologies of the facial skeleton.
You can make an appointment by phone 8 (391) 223-37-77 (ext. 402) on weekdays from 9:00 to 16:00.
On March 17, a consultation will be held to determine patients for surgical intervention. The operations themselves will take place from August 1 to 9 at the Krasnoyarsk Interdistrict Children's Clinical Hospital No. 5 – the only institution in the region where such care is provided to children.
