“Consult a specialist immediately if your headache is accompanied by fever, unexplained weight loss, sudden blurred vision, speech disturbances, or unilateral tingling in the body,” Khasanova emphasizes. Attention is required by “thundering” pain, reaching a peak within a minute, and increased pain when standing.

Your doctor recommends keeping a headache diary, noting the date, duration, intensity, and triggers. This will help the specialist more accurately diagnose the problem. Preventative measures include maintaining a sleep schedule, managing stress, drinking enough water, and limiting caffeine.

“Don't self-medicate. Timely consultation with a doctor will help prevent serious consequences,” the specialist notes. Particular caution should be exercised by pregnant women and people with gradually increasing pain over several weeks.
