Sociologists analyzed five recent public opinion polls conducted at the end of February and in March.
They believe that Tisza, led by Peter Madyar, can get between 138 and 142 seats in parliament. There are 199 places in total.
At the same time, the Hungarian Prime Minister's Fidesz party will receive between 49 and 55 seats. The far-right Our Homeland party (Mi Hazank) is projected to win five or six seats.
As Reuters notes, such results will allow Tisza to make changes to the constitution and basic laws necessary to unlock the frozen funds of the European Union.
The media recalled that since 2010, Fidesz, for most of its rule, had a two-thirds vote in parliament and used its power to approve a new constitution, as well as to adopt and amend a number of fundamental laws, in particular the electoral law.
According to data from the PolitPro platform published on April 9, the opposition party has 49% support. At the same time, Fidesz is supported by 40.7% of respondents.
